Carbon and 4A Desert Hills met at the BDAC on Friday night in a nail-biter. Tied at 12 after one quarter, Carbon stepped it up in the second to lead 24-19 at half.
The Lady Thunder came back in the third quarter and cut it to one, 32-31. Carbon continued to work hard and held Desert Hills to just seven points in the fourth quarter. That was enough as the Lady Dinos topped the Thunder 43-38.
Janzie Jensen scored a team-high 11 points. Sydney Orth came down with eight rebounds while Makenna Blanc grabbed four steals.
Carbon (5-0) will play Grantsville (2-1) on Monday, South Summit (2-4) on Tuesday and Mountain Crest (2-2) on Saturday. All games will be at home and will be streamed online at etvnews.com/livesports. Tuesday’s game against South Summit will also be streamed on ETV Channel 10.
