The Lady Dinos found success at West High School over the weekend in a varsity volleyball tournament.
According to head coach Christen Johnson, the team was victorious in six of the eight games and continued improvement was obvious throughout the tournament.
“I have seen a lot of improvement just since I have taken over in April,” Johnson said. “We played some good teams, and if we are going to beat the good teams, we will still have to improve in a few areas. But, I am excited. I didn’t quite know what to expect so I was anxious to see how well they would do and I was pleasantly surprised.”
The Dinos will continue their practice for the regular season at a tournament in Clearfield this upcoming weekend. The team will take to the home court on Sept. 3 at 5:30 p.m.
