The Carbon High Lady Dinos managed a victory on their home court and grabbed a ticket to the 3A State Tourney Saturday night after handing the Stansbury Stallions a 53-41 loss.
Carbon ended the first trailing by two but quickly responded in the second, putting up a game-high 23 to take the overall to 31-21 at halftime.
After a slow third, both teams gave the fourth their all before ending the match in Carbon’s favor.
Freshman Jordan Bianco shone for the Blue and White, netting 16 points for Carbon, sinking three 3-pointers in the process.
Kelsey Sorenson and Lindsey Blanc were behind with eight points apiece.
The Lady Dinos will travel to Logan on Thursday for the state quarterfinals at USU and face off against Desert Hills. Action is slated to begin at 4:10 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on ETV Channel 6.
