To continue their tough preseason schedule, the Carbon Lady Dinos made the trip to 5A West in Salt Lake City Tuesday evening and came home with a huge 61-36 win, earning their 10th win in 11 tries.
Sara Morley led the Lady Dinos with a season-high 21 points. She also pulled down 13 boards. Lindsey Blanc (13), Chandelle Nichols (9) and Taylor Passarella (7) combined to scored 29 points, including all four three-point buckets in the game.
Carbon won every quarter, including a dominant first in which it allowed just two points defensively. The Lady Dinos outscored their opponents 40-26 on the second half alone.
Carbon (10-1, 0-0 Region 12) will continue its busy preseason with a matchup against Fruita Monument, Colo. on Saturday at 2:45 p.m. The Lady Dinos’ lone loss of the season came Dec. 12 to Fruita, 46-41.
