Wrapping up the week, Carbon High ladies’ basketball received the victory on its home court. The Lady Dinos hosted Providence Hall on Thursday. Dinos had a dominant win with the final score being 66-25.
Abbie Saccomanno led the Dinos with 14 points, sinking three treys and was 1-3 from the line. She added four assists and four steals. Jodi Noyes helped keep the pace by going 3-3 from the line and added another eight points from the field. Noyes was also strong underneath, racking up nine rebounds. Diana Morley was right behind her with 10 points, hitting one three-point shot.
Sorenson had two assists, six rebounds and added another eight points. Jordan Bianco also contributed eight points to the board, making shots from downtown. Bianco went 2-2 from the line, had six assists and seven rebounds.
Makenna Blanc, Kaytlyn Cripps and Harley Migliori also made contributions to the effort. Cripps sunk two treys, Blanc hit a two and three-point shot from the field, while Migliori added five points to the final score.
With four straight wins under their belt, the Lady Dinos (13-5, 7-2 Region 14) will look for another as they travel to take on Maeser Prep (2-15, 0-8 Region 14) on Tuesday. The Dinos sailed past Maeser back on Jan. 4 for a 54-13 win.
