Local teams traveled to take part in the 2019 Utah Cheer Club Sport State Cheer Competition in Taylorsville on Saturday. Carbon High finished the competition with a state title.
The competition ran in two sessions. The first session included 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A schools as well and junior high/middle schools while the last session featured 5A and 6A teams.
The Carbon Dinos were well represented at the competition. The team took first in the songleading/pom category and second in the sideline school/fight song competition. The Dinos also secured third in the varsity all girl show cheer category.
Lady Dino Jordyn Gagon did well in the jump competition, taking second.
