The Carbon High volleyball team made quick work of Payson on Tuesday sweeping the Lions 3-0 in Price.
Seniors Rachel Scoggins, Darian Latimer, Amanda Freestone and Shaylie Jones enjoyed a dominating win in their final home match.
The Lady Dinos dominated from the first serve and rolled to a 25-23, 25-15 and 25-18 victory.
Head Coach Bob Potts said his team had been steadily improving and had not yet peaked. He said he expects the team to peak at the State Championships.
Scoggins, who had nine kills, said, “I feel like we really improved on offense and passing.”
Freestone led Carbon with 11 kills on the night.
Freestone said, “We focused really well together, and we came together and played as a team.”
The Dinos next travel to Spanish Fork on Thursday. The match will begin at 6:30 p.m.
