The Lady Dinos’ Thursday contest saw the team battle through double overtime against American Leadership Academy before narrowly grabbing a Region 14 win.
Both teams struggled to find the net in the first, going into the half scoreless. The board did not budge in the second, sending the contest into overtime.
One bout of overtime was not enough as the score stayed blank. The Dinos were finally able to net the game-winning Golden Goal with just six minutes left, taking the win 1-0.
The Lady Dinos will be back on the field Tuesday, Sept. 5 at a matchup in Price. The game will match #1 Delta against the Dinos, who currently sits in third. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m.
