The Carbon girl’s soccer team entered the second game of region play at 0-1, having lost Tuesday’s game against North Sanpete 6-1.
The Lady Dinos were determined to win against Richfield on Thursday at home, coming out strong and scoring two goals early in the first half. However, Richfield was also determined and scored two goals, one late in the first half and the other early in the second. Carbon scored once more in the second half, earning them a win for region play.
Kylie Paige scored all three goals while Jaylie Jensen protected Carbon’s net.
The team will travel to Payson on September 17 and to North Sanpete September 19.
