The Lady Dinos began their soccer season with two road games on Tuesday and Thursday at Maeser Prep and Union, respectfully.

Carbon went into halftime down 2-1 against the Lady Lions. Both teams tripled their score in the final half as Carbon fell 6-3. Maeser Prep found the back of the net four times in the second half to seal the win.

Carbon responded well on Thursday at Union and got off to a fast start. Senior Grace Broadbear and freshman Kinley Cowdell both scored for the Lady Dinos as they took a 2-0 lead into the break.

Union pulled within one in the second half, but Carbon was able to hold off the Lady Cougars to get its first win of the season. Kayla Barney had an assist in the Dino victory.

American Leadership Academy will come into town on Tuesday as Carbon will have its first home game of the season. The Lady Dinos will then head to Gunnison on Thursday.
