The Carbon High Lady Dino basketball team split a pair of games at the 2A/3A Preseason Preview in Richfield on Friday and Saturday.
Carbon withstood a furious, fourth-quarter comeback to take down Canyon View 31-28 in the first game.
Amanda Freestone led the Lady Dinos with 12 points in the contest.
Carbon couldn’t overcome a huge free-throw disparity against Cedar High, losing 48-41.
Cedar made 25 of 33 free throws in the game. Carbon made just four of eight attempts.
Miranda Averett nailed four three-point shots to lead Carbon with 22 points. Rachel Scoggins followed with seven points.
Carbon next visits Enterprise on Wednesday.
