Carbon played its first road region game on Tuesday against a tough Richfield team. Richfield, Carbon and Emery were projected by the coaches to be the top three teams in the region, so the match was a good measuring stick to see where the two teams were at this point of the season.
The score was close for the entire game and the teams went into halftime with a 1-1 tie. Carbon was able to make the most of its opportunities in the second half by netting the winning goal and leaving Richfield with the 2-1 victory.
The Lady Dinos (7-1, 3-0 Region 12) have won seven straight and will look to continue their success when they head to Moab on Thursday to take on the Lady Red Devils (1-2, 1-2 Region 12).
