The Carbon Lady Dinos hosted their first home game of the 2016 soccer season Friday afternoon against North Sevier.
Carbon began the game with a goal credited to Elley Cowdell, via help of North Sevier. The Lady Dinos would not stop from there as they went on to notch a 5-0 win as Sadie Crompton, Grace Broadbear, Aubrie Payne and Cowdell each netted the ball. Sydney Ho protected the net, blocking 13 attempts from the visiting team.
Next up, the junior varsity team let North Sevier score first before Jacey Richards netted the ball for Carbon.
Halftime had North Sevier leading by one. Carbon then scored two more in the second half as Kelsey Manual and Allison Olson each found the back of the net. The Lady Dinos ultimately lost by one with the final score of 4-3. Manual and Sorenson combined for five saves.
