The Utah State Eastern women’s soccer team played its home opener against Western Wyoming Community College (WWCC) on Friday. The team started off strong and capitalized on its first shot on target. Lexi Paulsen slipped a fantastic pass through the defense to Tori Kalista, who finished off a great move.

Unfortunately, the Lady Eagles never got out of second gear and WWCC flipped the game on its head, scoring twice. The game eventually ended 2-1.

It was a disappointing result for the Eagles, but they look to bounce back against Northwest College at home on Saturday, Aug. 27 at 11 a.m.
