The USU Eastern Lady Eagles hosted rival Snow College during Fan Appreciation Night on Thursday. Fans were treated to an intense game as USU Eastern fell by one point in overtime, 80-79.
The Lady Eagles gained an impressive lead just 10 minutes into play, 29-12. The team kept the momentum going as they entered the locker room at the half with a 15-point lead.
The Badgers came back strong in the second half, chipping away at their deficit to tie the game, 72-72. The Eagles gained a lead in overtime after a free throw from Jamie Smith. In the last second of play, the Badgers connected on a jump shot for the one-point win.
Barbara Cousino scored an impressive 18 points off the bench. Jessica Anderson and Fisher Caroline scored 12 points apiece.
The Eagles will host Salt Lake Community College on Saturday. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
