Lady Panthers Handed 43-29 Loss by Rockwell

In Thursday’s bout of nonregion action, the Pinnacle Lady Panthers took a lead in the first quarter of their match against the Rockwell Marshals but slowly fizzled out, leading to the overall 43-29 loss.

Freshman Stephanie Sasser led her team as the sole Lady Panther walking away with double digits, notching 14 for the home team. Sasser also managed to grab 12 total rebounds throughout the game. Senior Bobbie Syrett scored high for the panthers as well, turning the ball over 16 times and putting up a total of eight points for Pinnacle.

The Lady Pathers’ 6-4 lead at the end of the first changed in the second with Pinnacle’s halftime score coming to 15-13, in Marshals’ favor. Marshal continued their work, notching 14 points in the next two quarters en route to the victory.

The Lady Panthers’ next bout of action will come on Tuesday as team members travel to Wendover. Varsity action is slated to begin at six that evening.
