The Pinnacle Lady Panthers picked up their second straight win on Tuesday, defeating Escalante 30-24. The boys hosted Rockwell on Wednesday, losing an early lead and lost, 57-39.
Stephanie Sasser led the Lady Panthers with 14 points against the Moquis. Alexus Salazar chipped in nine points as Pinnacle squirted out to a 16-1 lead in the first quarter and held on for the win.
Leading 26-20 at the half, Rockwell outscored Pinnacle 23-5 in the third to take the lead it would never relinquish. Rockwell outscored the Panthers 37-13 in the second half. Logan Ellington had a team high 19 points. Kaden Daughters added seven points as well.
Both teams will participate in the Manila Tournament this weekend.
