Merit was in Price on Friday to take on the Lady Panthers on the volleyball court. Merit got the best of the Panthers in the first set and won 25-21.
Pinnacle fell in the second set, 25-11, but then turned it on. The Lady Panthers won the must-win third set, 25-18, to force a fourth set. The fourth set was back and forth but Pinnacle was unable to prevail and lost the set 26-24.
The Lady Panthers (0-7, 0-1 Region 19) will be back at it on Tuesday in Eureka to take on Tintic (2-5, 0-0 Region 21).
