After picking up a Region 19 win over Pinnacle last week, the Green River Lady Pirates were looking for two in a row Saturday against Monticello. The Lady Pirates fought hard but couldn’t complete the comeback, losing 43-42.
Savannah Williams led Green River with 11 points and seven rebounds. Maribel Escalante nailed two three en route to nine points. Miranda Johnson and Presley Lavato each contributed eight on the night.
Green River (3-12, 1-1 Region 19) will host Monument Valley (6-5, 0-1 Region 19) on Saturday. The game can be viewed live on ETV Channel 10 at 4:30 p.m.
