The Lady Spartans were on their home courts against Gunnison on Tuesday.
In first singles, Jordynn Wolford was able to take the match 6-3, 6-1. Morgan Hughes controlled her first set 6-1 and then was able to win by tiebreaker, 7-5, in the second set to close out the match. In third singles, Carlie Bennett cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win.
Jessie Nicholson and Haley Guymon were involved in a close first doubles match and ultimately fell, 4-6, 6-4, 4-6. To finish the day, Shaylee Grange and Megan Hess righted the ship and swept both games 6-0 to help the Lady Spartans to a 4-1 victory.
On Thursday, Emery will head to Wasatch Academy.
