The Emery High Lady Spartans traveled to Duchesne Tuesday night where they took on the Eagles and walked away with a 46-22 victory.
The first two quarters found Emery putting up nine each time, gaining an 18-9 lead by halftime. Jumping far ahead in the third, Emery managed a game-high 20 and boosted the overall score to 38-11. Action continued in the fourth en route to the victory.
Sophomores Megan Jensen and Kinlee Toomer led the black and gold with 11 points apiece and with Hurdsman netting the team’s sole three-pointer.
The next chance at a win for the Lady Spartans will come on Thursday as the team travels to Delta to take on the Fighting Rabbits.
