Emery traveled to Spanish Fork on Friday evening to take on the Dons. The Lady Spartans had their way with the Dons in the first quarter and outscored them 21-6. Spanish Fork outscored Emery in the second but still trailed at halftime, 32-19. The Spartans exploded in the third with 30 points to the Dons’ seven. Emery increased their lead by six in the forth quarter to end the game with more than double their opponent.

Megan Jensen had a game high 22 points, nine rebounds and three blocks. Kinlee Toomer recorded 16 points, five rebounds and six steals while Kacelyn Toomer ended the game with 10 points and five rebounds. The Lady Spartans had 11 different players score as they ran away with the win, 80-38.

Although head coach Lynn Tuttle is happy with the results so far, he knows there is room to improve for the group. “We need to be more consistent,” he said. “We have moments that we play great and then moments we don’t do so well. [It’s] kind of early to get a complete picture.”

The Lady Spartans are on the road again against Springville on Tuesday, Dec. 4 before they return home to the Spartan Center to take on Skyline on Thursday, Dec. 6. Thursday’s game will be broadcast live on ETV Channel 10 at 7 p.m. and online at www/
