The Emery Lady Spartans played back-to-back games against the South Sevier Rams and Millard Eagles on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, and came away with a 1-1 record.

Emery used a balanced scoring attack against the Rams, as freshman Megan Jensen led the team in scoring with eight points. Four players scored at least six points in the low-scoring game, 36-29. The Lady Spartans came from behind in the fourth quarter to pick up the win after outscoring the Rams 16-6 in the final period.

The Lady Spartans then made the trip to Fillmore on Thursday for a matchup with the Millard Eagles. The two last met in the 2A playoffs last year, a game that the favored Spartans lost 61-59.

Emery fell flat after the first quarter against the Eagles, scoring just 19 points in the final three quarters after putting up 14 in the first. Camrey Johnson led the team with 11 points, including two threes. Jensen pitched in seven.

Emery (3-4, 0-0 Region 15) will host Carbon (7-1, 0-0 Region 12) on Tuesday. The Lady Dinos beat the Lady Spartans on Dec. 4, 49-36. The game will be broadcast live on ETV Channel 10 at 7 p.m.
