After a tough loss the day before, Emery rebounded well against Providence Hall. The Lady Spartans broke out in the second with 18 runs. Emery went on to win in three innings by the score of 22-1.
Bailey Huggard led the team, going 3-3 with a double and four RBIs. Janessa Weston hit a three-run, inside-the-park home run. Adrianne Childs and Ambree Bennett each had a triple and a double in the contest. All nine of the Lady Patriots’ outs were strikeouts, six by Kaylee Price and three by Braileigh Clark.
Emery (7-3, 3-3 Region 15) will get another chance at San Juan (5-12, 2-8 Region 15) at home on Friday.
