On Tuesday, the Emery girls’ soccer team played its last home game of the season and honored its three seniors.
Seniors on this year’s team are Ashilee Byington, Kara Higbee and Liz Sprague. They were given a gift from the team before the game.
The Lady Spartans then played North Sevier and won 5-2. Since they won, the team will now have a playoff game next Wednesday against either Maeser Prep or Summit Academy.
“I think they’ve done great and improved a lot over the season,” said head coach Eric Nielson. “They really have worked hard, and their hard work has paid off.”
On Thursday, Emery will travel to Gunnison to play the Bulldogs.
