The Lady Spartans faced difficult golfing conditions, competing in winds that reached 60+ MPH, in Richfield on Tuesday.

The region tournament featured Emery, Grand and San Juan. Despite strong winds, the Spartans continued their domination on the course, notching a first place finish, one of the many they have earned since the program started.

“We were first and have won every region golf tournament that Emery has played in since we started the team last year,” Hansen said.

Emery finished with 95 points in the tournament. Sydnee Guymon led the team with 31 points followed by Taijah Price with 23. Sarah Swasey chipped in 22 points and Sydney Timothy rounded out the scoring with 18.

The team will travel to Monticello for a tournament on April 28.
