Make it 14 wins in a row for the Emery Lady Spartans after an easy victory over the Gunnison Bulldogs Tuesday night in Gunnison, 73-36.

Led by Megan Jensen and the Toomer twins, Emery began fast and finished fast for the wire-to-wire victory. Jensen poured in a game high 16 points while the Kacelyn and Kinlee Toomer combined for 28 points (15 for Kacelyn and 13 for Kinlee). Eleven players notched at least one point in the game.

Another fast start propelled the Lady Spartans to the 19-4 lead after one quarter of play. Over the first and third quarters, Emery outscored Gunnison 49-12.

Emery (16-1, 7-0 Region 15, #2 in 2A) will have perhaps its toughest road test of season Thursday night at North Sevier (13-6, 6-1 Region 15, #3 in 2A). The Wolves, who are ranked #3 in 2A, sit right behind the Spartans in the Region 15 standings. Should Emery lose, the teams would be tied with just two games remaining on their respective schedules. Emery beat North Sevier 73-40 back on Jan. 12, a game in which the Spartans nailed 12 3-pointers.
