Emery led at the half but couldn’t overcome an 11-2 third-quarter run as Richfield triumphed 47-40 Tuesday in Castle Dale.
Emery looked good against the heavy favorites in the first half, but Richfield took control immediately after halftime.
Blay Jeffs led all scorers with 18 points, and Jeridi Price scored 13 for the Lady Spartans. Megan Bean led Richfield with 16 points.
Emery fell to 2-9 on the season and 1-1 in region play. The Lady Spartans next play host to Grand at 6 p.m. Saturday.
