After struggling to find offensive consistency in the preseason, Emery has flipped the script in region games. The Lady Spartans followed up their five-goal effort against Grand on Tuesday with six goals on Thursday in Monroe verse the Lady Rams.
Emery was up 3-0 at the break and found the back of the net three additional times in the second half for the 6-2 win. Seniors Shelbee Murdoch, Teryn Allred and Makieya Bertuzzi all scored in the contest. Alexis Winter (junior), Tylee Northon (sophomore) and Taija Olsen (sophomore) accounted for the other goals.
After going 2-0 on the road this week, Emery (3-5, 2-0 Region 12) will return home to play San Juan (0-1, 0-1 Region 12) on Tuesday. The Lady Spartans will then have a big game against Richfield (5-1, 0-0 Region 12) on Thursday in Castle Dale.
