The Emery High Lady Spartans continued rolling when they went on the road to Manti on Tuesday.
Emery used a 24-6 first quarter to gain an early lead over the Templars. The girls followed up the opening quarter with 23 points in the second and another 24 points in third. Manti mustered 34 points in the entire game and was never close to the defending champs.
Emery continues their quest for perfection after the 77-34 blow-out victory. Morgan Hurdsman led the game with 26 points, shooting 69% on the night. The Toomer girls remained consistent with 12 points and three steals for Kacelyn and 10 points, six rebounds and eight assists for Kinlee.
Megan Jensen continues to be a force down-low and scored 11 points for the Spartans. As a team, Emery grabbed 16 steals.
Up next for the Lady Spartans (12-0, 3-0 Region 15) is North Sanpete (2-9, 1-2 Region 15) on Thursday night in the Spartan Center. The game will be broadcast live on ETV Channel 10 and online.
