The Emery Lady Spartans hosted the Duchesne Eagles Friday afternoon, winning the non-region contest 17-8.
Emery scored seven runs in the bottom of the fifth to end the game early. Regan Rasmussen knocked in three runs in the game along with three hits. Morgann Donaldson also had two hits in the game.
The Spartans scored two runs in the first, three in the second, five in the fourth and seven in the fifth to round out the scoring.
Emery (1-1, 0-0 2A East) will play at North Sanpete on Tuesday.
