After putting in five goals against South Summit, Emery was hoping to continue its offensive surge when it took on Millard on Thursday to close out the preseason.
The Spartans scored a goal in the first half but gave up two in that span to go into the midway point down 2-1. Neither team could break through in the second half and the Lady Spartans were defeated 2-1.
Emery went 1-5 in the preseason and will began region play on Sept. 3 in Moab against the Grand Red Devils.
