While on the road, the Lady Spartans took their first victory of the season 56-28 against the South Summit Wildcats.
The nonregion action found Lady Spartan Lainee Jensen leading her team with a total of 21 points and six three-point shots. Fellow teammate Kinlee Toomer also made it to the double digits, bringing home 10 total points and two three-point shots en route to the victory.
Emery exploded in the first quarter, leading 26-4. They managed to put up just six in the second, but continued to lead in the third notching 16 points. The fourth quarter ended with the team scoring eight points and taking the match.
The Lady Spartans will continue their action on Tuesday as the team travels to South Sevier.
