In their first preseason match against the Richfield Wildcats, the Emery Lady Spartans hit the green at their home Milsite Golf Course.
According to Coach Hansen, girls’ golf utilizies the modified stableford scoring system, where 90 points equals a scratch par 72 golfer.
“Emery played well in the season opener,” he said, praising senior Sydnee Guymon who led her team.
“Also of note, Kayla Winn of Ferron had her first hole in one on hole #5 from the red tees,” he said. “What an accomplishment for the sophomore.”
