Lainee Jensen nailed six threes in the Emery Lady Spartans’ 81-18 win over the Manti Templars Thursday night in Castle Dale. It was Emery’s first home game of the Region 15 season.
Jensen led three Emery players in double figures with 20 points. Megan Jensen was right behind with 19 points on 6-7 shooting and 7-8 from the free throw line. Morgan Hurdsman was next with 10. Kinlee Toomer added eight points, six rebounds and four assists in the win.
Emery jumped out to a 14-0 lead early in the first quarter. Lainee Jensen hit three of her six threes in the first quarter to lead Emery to the 32-3 lead entering the second period.
The Lady Spartans led 49-9 at the half and 68-16 at the end of three.
Emery (13-1, 3-1 Region 15) will host Grand (6-5, 2-0 Region 15) on Tuesday. The game will be broadcast live on ETV Channel 10 at 7 p.m.
