The Emery Lady Spartans opened the season in Richfield Tuesday but were sent home with a 62-34 win.
Jessica Olsen led Emery with nine points. Megan Jensen and Aniston Curtis each chipped in six. The loss marked the coaching debut of new head coach Lynne Tuttle.
Emery (0-1, 0-0 Region 15) will play at South Summit next Thursday.
