The Carbon Dinos hit the road Friday night for a matchup with the Duchesne Eagles, losing the hard-fought game 41-19.

Johnny Scoggins, Nate Olson and Collin Lewis all scored in the loss. Scoggins caught a five-yard TD pass in the second quarter from quarterback Noah Jones who returned this week from injury. Olson and Lewis both scored in the fourth quarter on the ground. Olson had another monster game, rushing for 118 yards on just 16 carries. He had 184 all-purpose yards adding in 45 kick return, 20 punt return and another yard through the air. Lewis rushed nine times for 67 yards, which was a career high.

In his return from a scary injury a week ago, Jones, who was taken away in an ambulance against Payson, went 3-4 for 12 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

The Eagles jumped out to a 27-0 lead until Scoggins caught his TD pass to send the game into halftime with a 27-6 score.

Carbon (0-3, 0-0 3A North) will host 4A Ogden (0-3, 0-0 Region 11) on Friday night. The game will be broadcast live on ETV Channel 10 at 7 p.m.
