Salt Lake City – Want to catch more walleye in Utah?

If you answered yes, plan on attending the Annual Utah Walleye Seminar. In addition to learning more about walleye and how to catch them, two guided walleye fishing trips to Starvation Reservoir will be given away. You can watch the seminar from home, but only those in attendance will qualify to win one of the free fishing trips.

The free seminar will be held in Salt Lake City on March 16. It starts at 7 p.m. in the Department of Natural Resources Auditorium, 1594 W. North Temple. This year marks the twenty-fifth year the seminar has been held.

If you attend or watch the seminar, you’ll hear some of Utah’s top walleye anglers share their secrets and insights about how to catch “ole’ marble eye” in the Beehive State.

“If you want to learn more about catching walleye in Utah,” says Drew Cushing, Aquatic Section chief for the Division of Wildlife Resources, “don’t miss this seminar. A nice mix of seasoned walleye anglers and biologists will share the latest information.”

·         The biology and status of walleye in Starvation Reservoir

·         Walleye fishing at Starvation Reservoir

·         Illegal fish introductions and how they affect walleye
