Learning the Fine Arts at Cleveland Elementary

The Cleveland Elementary School Community Council came to the decision that students should have different experiences in learning. The focus is always on core subjects and the council wanted to teach the students about the fine arts.

The council sent a survey to parents and citizens of Cleveland to gather information about potential volunteers and their experience in the fine arts.

Volunteers then gathered at Cleveland Elementary on Thursday to teach students 3D art, piano, leatherworks, paints and watercolors, dance, crochet, fine arts, cooking, scratch art and what it takes to become an author.

The council and volunteers hope to continue the program next year and add more art to the curriculum.
