While the Castleview dietary staff bustled through the lunch hour to serve patients and fellow coworkers, additional tantalizing treats were also catching glances in a neighboring room on Tuesday. The cakes that were lined up in a row were part of the hospital’s raffle fundraiser, which aimed to gather donations for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Over 20 cakes, which were donated by hospital staff and community members, were part of the raffle. Submissions ranged from elaborate theme cakes to cupcake creations and more. Those that participated in the raffle were able to purchase tickets for their chance to win one of the many treats up for grabs.
“Thank you to all who purchased raffle tickets and donated cakes,” the staff at Castleview Hospital shared. “Also, a huge thanks to our largest donors: Castle Country RV, Dr. Larsen at Pine Top Medical and Dr. David Bradshaw OB.”
The raffle garnered over $1,300 in donations, which the hospital generously matched with its own $1,400 donation.
If you missed the cake raffle but would still like to assist Castleview Hospital in its endeavor to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, there is still time.
