Students at Lighthouse High School recently made a significant donation to the Carbon County Food Bank.
Members of Lighthouse clubs collected food items throughout the month of November. Each club competed to see who would gather the most food donations for the chance to enjoy breakfast at JB’s.
According to principal Karlene Bianco, students gathered 5,137 items for the food bank.
“For a school of 80 students, we averaged a donation of 65 items per student,” Bianco explained. “Congratulations to the Wildlife Club and Outdoor Club for being the top two winners.”
Each club will now be treated to breakfast.
