Payson scored five runs in the fourth inning and slid past the Carbon Dinos 10-5 yesterday, snapping the Dinos six-game winning streak.

Carbon jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead in the first after a double from Bryce Blackburn scored Tyler Procarione. Blackburn then scored after Kayden Feichko reached first on a Payson miscue in the infield to make it 2-0. Payson countered, though, to take a 4-2 after one.

Hits by Derek Young, Dominic Rondinelli and Cole Fossat in the top of the second and another run in the third gave the Dinos a short lead until the Lions tied it back up at five apiece in the bottom half of the same inning.

Carbon hosts Payson on Thursday.

The Dinos currently sit in a two-way tie with Payson for second place in the Region 12 standings, and are 11-6 overall.
