A ribbon cutting on Friday afternoon celebrated Helper’s newest art gallery and highlighted a variety of artists with local roots as members of the community gathered at the Trackside Gallery.

Located inside The Helper Hub, the Trackside Gallery features artwork from Carbon County artists or those native to the area. Paintings and photographs adorn the walls of the hub, bringing life to the business thanks to the brainchild by Helper Hub owner and businesswoman Cindy Lund.

“Helper Hub desires to promote the amazing works from our local artists,” the business shared. “Many artists, photographers and sculpters create their pieces here in Helper. Most are sold through galleries throughout the USA and through commissioned contracts. As their focus is on producing their art, they don’t always have consistent open hours to facilitate local foot traffic. We offer to display and sell their works to anyone who wants to enhance their walls.”

A variety of artists with differing mediums have their work displayed at the Trackside Gallery. Those who visit the galley can see pieces from two photographers and six painters, including Terry Willis, Jason Huntzinger, Deana Floyd, Justin Krompel, Bonnie J. Vea, Karen Jobe Templeton, Amanda J. Paul and CJ Hales.

Members of the community are welcome to tour the Trackside Gallery, located at 133 South Main Street. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with special extended hours for Helper’s First Friday’s (until 9 p.m.) and Small Business Saturdays (third Saturdays). The first Small Business Saturday event for the Trackside Gallery is scheduled for April 21 from 12 to 3 p.m.

A website is in the works for the gallery where interested parties can learn more about the featured artists and their work.
