The Utah Division of Arts and Museums is hosting a myriad of in-person workshops throughout the state, with a number of them being hosted locally.

“These workshops will align with the themes of the webinars [hosted previously] and provide hands-on training and in-person networking opportunities,” the division shared. “Workshops are in-person, full-day events and occur in two parts.”

Registration for the workshops is $10 per person. Though some of the workshops have already taken place, there are many upcoming in the spring and summer to take advantage of. First, Green River’s John Wesley Powell River History Museum hosted a Preservation in Storage and Display (Part A) workshop on April 6.

Part B of that same workshop will take place on May 4 at the Emery County Archives in Castle Dale. Following, Part A of the Environment and Building Systems workshop will be hosted at the USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum on Price on July 6.

The workshop will feature Part B on Aug. 3, which will be held at the Helper City Civic Auditorium. Finally, the second part of the Risk Management, Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response workshop will take place on Nov. 2 at USU Eastern in Price (Part A will be in Monticello).

Those that have questions or would like to register for the remaining local workshops can find information here.
