Local veterans took advantage of savings throughout the Castle Country area on Veterans Day. Several businesses offered free meals, drinks and discounts to service men and women, both past and present to honor them for their service to America.
Numerous veterans enjoyed a free meal at Nicki Spaghetti Tuesday evening. The restaurant provided a free meal to the first 100 veterans who came in. “It was the least we could do to say thanks to our veterans,” stated Nicki Spaghetti Marketing Manager Jennifer Marakis. “They served us through their military service, now we have the opportunity to serve them a free meal.”
By mid-evening, the restaurant had served approximately 50 veterans, all of whom were thankful for the kind gesture and shared stories of their military service with the staff.
