Local Mini Bull Riders Place in World Standings

The International Miniature Bull Association (IMBA) World Finals took place in Las Vegas over the weekend.

Hesston McArthur was bucked off in the first round but rebounded well with a second-place ride in the second round with a score of 78. He then took first in the third go with am 83. He ultimately got bucked off in the finals to place 10th in worlds in the junior division.

In the super senior class, Cole Magnuson rode well to kick off the weekend. He scored an 81 in the first go and a 71 in the second. He made it to the semis but was bucked off. He finished in 12th in the world standings. Hunter Hopes and Rigin Ivie had their weekend cut short as they did not make their rides in the long go.

Other members of the McArthur Mini Bulls Association that made the trip were Chris Staley (seventh seniors), Jaden Allison (13th seniors) and Ryder Reiner (seventh peewee). Reiner rode all four of his bulls. Mcennon Williams and Hayden Sumway also competed but were unable to put down a qualifying ride.

Youngster Cache McArthur was the “little man in the can,” or funny man, all weekend. He was in his barrel for somewhere between 500-600 bull rides.
