During the regularly scheduled Price City Council meeting on Wednesday, local resident Jamie Tolich was awarded with the Visionary Service Leader award.

Price City Mayor Joe Piccolo informed Tolich that her father was one of the mayor’s first employers many years ago. During that time, Mayor Piccolo stated, her father taught him many things that he still uses 49 years later.

She was recommended for the award by one of the retired senior citizens that she cares so adamantly for. Tolich would take time every single week to deliver the citizens to the Peace Gardens to spend some time relaxing outdoors. She would dance and engage with them.

“I understand why you do what you do,” Mayor Piccolo stated.

Mayor Piccolo then took some time to read the details of the plaque to the listening crowd. On behalf of the Mayor, City Council and First lady of Price, the award was presented to Tolich.

Tolich then spoke, thanking the council for recognizing the work that she does and informing everyone that working with the senior citizens does not really feel like work at all.

“They make my world,” Tolich said.
