Emery County Robotics Press Release

Our robotics are done for the season and deserve great recognition.

We had six First Lego League Teams (grades 4-6) compete in January and two qualified to go to state in February where the Castle Dale Elementary team walked away with the Mechanical Design Award, which is a huge honor and not easy to do! The other team to advance was Ferron.

All four of our First Tech Challenge Teams (both Jr. High’s and both High School’s) qualified at regional tournaments to go to state. The Emery High Team won an award at the SUU Qualifier and they all represented Emery County very well at state.

Program director Rob Murray won the Volunteer of the Year Award at the state competition, which is a great honor, and was recognized for his year’s of service.

Congratulations to all of our teams, and a BIG THANK YOU to their coaches who spent countless hours helping these teams learn and prepare!
