Children lined up at Pioneer Park in Price on Saturday to hunt for colorful eggs hidden throughout the park. The annual Easter egg hunt at the park is hosted by Trails End Realty.

“We filled 10,000 eggs and gave away over $2,000 in prizes,” Janet Roberts from Trails End Realty said.

The event, which is in its tenth year, raises funds for Spencer’s Wishes.

“We raised over $1,200 for Spencer’s Wishes,” Roberts explained. “In 2006, we put the event on to celebrate Trails End Realty’s 10th anniversary. We had such a great turn out and the children had so much fun that we decided to do it again in 2007. Here we are, 10 years later, celebrating our 20th anniversary. The children still come to the event and they are the main reason we continue to do this every year.”

Funds raised at the egg hunt have went to various charities throughout the years. Eventually, organizers of the event found that Spencer’s Wishes was the perfect fit to receive the funds.

“Our event is for the children of Carbon and Emery counties and Spencer’s Wishes donations stay in our community,” Roberts said. “There couldn’t be a better fundraiser and we are honored to help them out.”

With another Easter event under their belt, the staff at Trails End Realty is already looking forward to next year’s hunt.

“The Easter egg hunt has nothing to do with real estate,” Janet concluded. “It’s all about the children and giving back to our community that we are very blessed to live, work and play in.”
