Friday night over 100 athletes braved light rain and cloud cover to participate in the fourth annual Lunatic Triathlon. Almost all participants were residents of Carbon and Emery counties who ran, biked and swam their way to the finish line. The race began at 11 p.m. and finished up after midnight. Individuals and teams made up of two to three members completed the course for nothing more than pride and a t-shirt.
There are already plans for next year. The race organizers are looking at June 13 and hoping to expand the event to possibly having a kids run, duathlon and 5k only option. For more comprehensive results go to www.lunatictriathlon.com
